What Did Your Company Holiday Celebration Say About You?

What should the inaugural post of a new blog be? I was intending something of a several part series manifesto on how we believe business should be done, but but as I think about it, this is far more appropriate for our company culture.

How did your company celebrate the holidays? In the past, we’ve had a gift exchange and a nice meal at a restaurant together. This year, we did something quite different. We intended to spend a day out of the office together serving our community by volunteering our time at a local food bank. The weather intervened and it didn’t quite work out the way we’d planned…we worked, but “togetherness” was a bit lacking. Several of us covered different shifts, and while we didn’t get to do it as a group project, it was still my favorite holiday celebration of all. Although, if I’m being honest, the Annual Thanksgiving Feasts from Essenhaus are a close second!
